Safeguarding
‘Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility'
At Courthouse Green, we regard the Safeguarding of all children as our main priority. We believe that all children have the right to be happy, to be safe and to learn. We all have the responsibility to make this happen.
We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy which can be viewed below:
Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023
Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy 2023
Low Level Concerns Policy 2023
We listen to our pupils and take seriously what they tell us.
All school staff are trained in safeguarding and Child Protection, and are trained to look out for signs of physical/emotional harm or neglect and are required to report these to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is
Miss K Maynard
Our Deputy Safeguarding Leads are
Mrs J Burbidge, Miss McGuckin and Miss King
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies, when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.
If you have any concerns about the safety and/or well-being of any child or young person, you can contact school or telephone the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on: 02476 788 555 or if out of hours call the Emergency Duty Team on: 02476 832 222
All Safeguarding practice at Courthouse Green is underpinned by the latest version of Keeping Children safe in Education.
